FAQ
What to know before you use a tool.
Article subscriptions, one-off purchases, tool pricing, accounts, data handling and the boundary with investment advice—made clear up front.
How much of the daily market analysis is free?
Daily Europe Americas and Daily Asia articles keep the closing-market summary, recap, major catalysts and key points—around 10,000 characters—free for everyone. A subscription unlocks the analysis and commentary section covered by that plan.
Can I buy one article without subscribing?
Yes. Each daily article is a one-off $1 purchase and each Global Macro Analysis article is $2. Subscription and one-off purchase buttons appear on each article, and all published items are listed in the analysis archive.
Which tool should I open first?
Use the FX & CFD Lot Size Calculator when position size is unknown, the Trade Cost Calculator when execution cost is unclear, or the Backtest & Robustness Lab when you already have a strategy CSV. Open the Macro Research Workbench first when macro context is the main uncertainty.
Are all six tools paid?
No. TradingView Free Indicators is a no-sign-up catalogue of 40 listed indicators, with 20 live and 20 coming soon. The other five tools also start with a free plan; paid plans add saving, comparison, longer data, advanced diagnostics and other tool-specific capabilities.
Do the five paid tools share the same price?
Yes. The shared ladder is Free, Mid at $5.90 monthly or $59.00 yearly, and Top at $14.90 monthly or $149.00 yearly. Macro Research calls the tiers Core and Global; the other tools use Pro and Premium.
Do I need an account?
It depends on the tool and feature. Core lot-size, trade-cost and backtest workflows, free macro checks and the free-template allowance can be used without signing up. Authentication is required for paid, persistent or team features.
What is the difference between monthly and yearly billing?
Within the same tool and tier, the feature set is the same. Yearly costs the equivalent of 10 monthly payments, so it includes two months off. Confirm the final amount and terms on the tool’s plans page and Stripe checkout.
Is uploaded or entered data sent to SG Group?
The model differs by feature. Lot-size and trade-cost inputs, standard backtest analysis data and local macro CSV workflows are processed on-device or kept off SG Group servers within the scope stated on each page. Financial Templates Hub inputs, outputs, history and audit trails are managed in the customer environment. The individual tool page governs the exact processing and storage model.
Does the free backtest tier have usage limits?
Core analysis, Monte Carlo, stress tests, diagnostics and basic report generation are unlimited. Pro adds saving, practical diagnostics and Excel output; Premium adds walk-forward, OOS reliability, parameter stability, multi-strategy analysis and batch reporting.
Do these tools provide investment advice or trade signals?
No. They organize public or user-supplied data and support calculation, visualization, document drafting and historical validation. They do not provide forecasts, trade signals, auto-trading, order execution or guarantees of future price, win rate or profit.
Can I change or cancel a plan?
Subscription management and cancellation are handled through Stripe’s customer portal. Unused time is not prorated or adjusted. The terms, tool plans page and checkout screen govern the details.
